MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
AFFILIATE (ACDA)
Individuals who:-
·
are tertiary students undertaking a business course and who do not otherwise
qualify for membership in another category, or
· wish to enroll in the corporate Directors’ Diploma
course and who do not otherwise quality for membership in another category.
MEMBER (MCDA)
Individuals who:
·
are directors or executives of a corporation, or
·
are partners or sole proprietors of professional practices or unincorporated
businesses, or
·
are academic personnel at the level of. or equivalent to, professor, dean or
director, or
·
are defence personnel at the level of, or equivalent to, Brigadier or above.
FELLOW (FCDA)
Individuals who:
·
have been directors of a corporation for two years or more, or
·
have been senior executives with managerial responsibilities equivalent to those
of an executive director for two years or more.
SENIOR FELLOW (SFCDA)
Individuals who:
· have completed the Corporate
Directors’ Diploma course and been granted the Corporate Directors’ Diploma
(or equivalent courses); and have had five (5) years experience as a director of
a corporation, or as a senior executive reporting to the board of a major
corporation, or
·
the Association’s Board determines, have the required expertise, experience or
standing.
POST NOMINALS
In addition to post nominals for the applicable
membership category, course graduates awarded the Corporate Directors’ Diploma
are entitled to add Dip. CD. For example: FCDA, Dip CD
CHARTERED DIRECTOR
CDA members are eligible to apply for recognition
in the profession of Chartered Director. Details appear elsewhere of this
