About Board Step
Reporting to or
joining a formal Board can be a major challenge
for senior executives. While recommended
better practices
in corporate governance has heightened awareness
of the accountabilities Board Directors
bear – in
addition to the onus on Executive Managers to
disclose information appropriately to their
Board
– most Board
training programs only address the principles of
Board operations rather than the often
difficult
practicalities.
Program
Outcomes
By
undertaking 8 steps over approximately 7 weeks,
participants will be challenged by the rigour of
interactive group
sessions and reflection resulting from
individual coaching sessions. Upon completion,
participants will
possess a deep understanding of how Board
performance is affected by the individual
and collective
behaviour, communication, decision-making
abilities and leadership styles of those
individuals who
report to and comprise a Board. Fundamentally,
participants will possess greater skills
at a Board level,
enabling greater performance at an individual,
organisational and Board level as their
career
progresses.
